Bharat bliss

i feel so blessed…

i was listening to the victory speech of prime minister narendra modi ji. he was speaking to the workers of bjp this evening at the party office after a landslide victory, for the second term to rule the country.
this is what he said:
“you, the people of india have given me more faith, so more responsibility. you have filled up the shoulder bag of this sadhu with hope, desires, and resolves..

i promise you, the people of india that
1.i will not misuse my power or do anything against the law. i may make mistakes while performing action. but i will not do anything which will not suit my position and the law.

2. i will not do anything for myself.

3. every second of my life and every cell of my body is dedicated to the people of india.
whenever you evaluate me, pls evaluate against these 3.”

am still finding it difficult to control the surge of emotions, the tears of joy within me. because i know these are not just words, being in power for the last 18 years he has been living that and he will continue to live.. that is modi ji

being a citizen of india, he is my prime minister … one with such a vision, purity in the heart and efficiency in the hands, culture and matured, selfless to the core, dedication of this level… i see the dawn of india becoming the viswa guru. am sure, it is not far away.
i feel blessed to have such a prime minister
vande maataram.

with acharya pradyumn

amritapuri ashram had a surprise visitor – acharya pradyumn-ji of aarsh gurukul – khanpur. acharya pradyumn-ji is a great scholar and teacher of vedas and sanskrit, guru of baba ramdev. i had a small but beautiful interaction with him.

he was repeating a message of amma “the creation and the creator are not two, but one” which she told to baba ramdev when they met. acharya pradyumn-ji was recollecting their meeting and repeating this like a mantra.. a wonderful acharya with wisdom and humility.. pranams to you maharaj!

be an instrument of transformation, take up #GitaChallenge

we all celebrate our birthdays as our special day in life. but there is a really special birthday. it’s not about a person but it’s about a book! yes. there is only one book in the world who’s birthday is celebrated – that is Bhagavad Gita as Gita Jayanthi. this year’s Gita Jayanthi falls on 18th of december (shukla paksha ekadashi of margashirsha). this is the day Sri Krishna Himself revealed secrets to arjuna about Himself and about the world in the battlefield of Kurukshetra.

on the occasion of ‘Gita Jayanthi’ let us spread the awareness of ‘Gita 4 Life’ by being a part of ‘#GitaChallenge’. pick up any one sloka of your liking from the 700 slokas across 18 chapters of Gita. chant the sloka and say its meaning. along with if you can share your experience of how that particular sloka has helped/ guided/ transformed you in your life, by narrating the actual situation or problem. it should not be more than 3 minutes. recored the video and share it on social media with a hash tag #GitaChallenge. participate whole heartedly with a spirit of spreading the happiness which is shown by Bhagavad Gita.

also challenge your friends, teachers, parents, boss, leaders etc.

if you know any vegetable vendor, riksha wala, taxi wala, any karma-charis knows Gita, ask them to chant, record that and post it on your social media accounts. in that way anyone who knows gita become the pracharaks of gita. they tell the world how they have transformed. be an instrument of transformation in the hands of the Lord.
see more from here.

guru sends you on the road to freedom

tomorrow is guru purnima. the day sage vyasa was born. vyasa is the one who organised vedas, so he is called veda vyasa. vedas are the very breath of the lord, it’s not separate from him. veda means knowledge, knowledge of the self, not separate from him.

we believe that the first guru is the lord himself – who is ever-present, pleasant, peaceful .. so we chant sadasiva samarambham…

there were many sages and saints who were giving directions to humanity over the millenniums.. we don’t know all of them, but one significant one we remember. he is shankaracharya. who was born in kerala, left his house at the age of 8 and took sannyasa. he wrote commentaries on Gita, Upanishads and Brahmasutra establishing the supremacy of Advaita philosophy. he put down his pen at the age of 16!. we consider him somewhere in the middle of the parampara. afterwards, also we had so many acharyas ..i don’t know all of them. but i know my acharya, my guru. so i member him. through my guru i login to that network to access to the divine which is ever-present everywhere. on this auspicious day of guru purnima, we salute the guru parampara – the lineage of masters who gave us the wisdom of how to live in this world happily.

The Lord – SadaSiva gives a Satguru to help you to realise Him. the guru gives Sastra, which is the very breath of the Lord. through sastra, a sadhaka – a seekar – attains sakshatkar – realisation.

a guru makes you responsible for your growth. he questions your answers. more than obedience and discipline, he is looking for trust and humility. he is your guide and a pointer on your path.
guru sends you on the road to freedom by explaining about yourself and your nature to you and your relationship with the world.
he opens up your mind, helps you to return to your innocence.
walking beside you holding your hand he leads by example. even if the whole world rejects you, the guru will not reject you. like a father, mother and friend he will be always there to help you to grow.

so let us offer our tributes, prayers at the feet of our satguru – Amma – Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi on this auspicious day of GuruPurnima, seeking for grace and guidance.
